‘You owe me your dog because I’m sad’: Neighbor demands to “borrow” 24-year-old woman’s adopted rescue golden retriever to soothe her sadness, then calls her selfish and blasts her online when she says no

Imagine having the audacity of a Victorian-era aristocrat but applying it to someone else's golden retriever. That's Jessica, a woman who's revolutionized the concept of entitlement by attempting to timeshare a dog she has zero relation to, because apparently emotional support animals now work like library books.

You know you've reached peak first-world problems when someone knocks on your door expecting to check out and leave with your beloved pet because their noble estate feels like its missing some decoration: "Hello there, I've been feeling a bit glum lately. Mind if I borrow your deeply bonded companion animal for a fortnight? I promise to return him once my serotonin levels are satisfactory." What's next? Borrowing someone's grandmother because yours isn't around, and you miss homemade cookies?

The sheer confidence it takes to ask for temporary custody of a living creature you've met exactly once in an elevator is the kind of delusion usually reserved for men explaining women's reproductive systems. But our Jessica got hold of a whole bunch of it.
